Summer class updates.
Our very own Calida will be moving to L.A. to take her professional dance career to the next level. We threw her a special edition class to dance it out with old friends and new one last time.
Best of luck in L.A. Calida. RSVP 33 is so proud of you and we will miss you!

Q: I’VE NEVER TAKEN A DANCE CLASS BEFORE. WOULD I BE ABLE TO KEEP UP?
A: Yes, our classes are beginner-friendly! Most of our students have no dance experience at all. Our instructors are very patient and accommodating in class. It's an open environment so we encourage you to shout out any questions you have while you're learning. Most of the time, other students will be wondering the same thing.
Q: HOW LONG ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS?
A: They’re six weeks long and each class runs for one hour.
Q: DO YOU OFFER DROP-IN CLASSES?
A: At the moment we don’t. We like to build a community within each workshop. We've also found our workshop format helps get rid of class jitters and we find for new dancers it's important to practice weekly.
Q: WHERE CAN I FIND YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE AND HOW DO I REGISTER?
A: You can find our schedule and register online through MINDBODY here.
Q: WHERE ARE YOUR CLASSES LOCATED?
A: Maps are posted on our website here.
We have two locations in Vancouver:
The Dance Centre, 677 Davie Street (downtown)
One Thousand Rivers Studio, 54 East 4th Ave (Olympic Village)
- DC Dance Club, 223- 1235 26th Ave SE
Dance Teq, 226 Queen Street West, Second Floor

Q: WHY DO WE CHAT BEFORE CLASS?
A: We chat to break the ice and build a level of comfort and community within the room. We figure if you're gonna be booty popping, you probably want to know the person's name next to you. We love getting to know our students and you never know if you’ll make a dance friend or two.
Q: HOW LONG DO WE WORK ON ROUTINES?
A: We work on routines for two weeks then we move on to a fresh new one. During your six week workshop you’ll learn three different routines.
Q: OH NO, I MISSED CLASS! WILL I BE BEHIND?
A: We teach each routine for two weeks. During week one, everyone will be starting from scratch. On week two, even if you missed the first time it was taught, our instructor will go over all the previous choreography.

Q: HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THE NEXT SESSION WILL START?
A: If you subscribe to our mailing list, you’ll be notified when registration is open for our next workshops.
Q: IM NOT BIG ON CHOREOGRAPHY. I JUST WANT TO LEARN COOL MOVES AND SWEAT. DO YOU HAVE A CLASS THAT OFFERS THAT?
A: Yes we do! Our Hustle & Flow class has no choreography meaning you won't learn a routine. It’s more focused on grooving and fitness. You’ll definitely break a sweat in class.
Q: DO WE GET TO KNOW WHAT SONGS YOU’LL BE TEACHING DURING THE WORKSHOP?
A: Sometimes we’ll post sneak peak videos on Instagram (@RSVP33). So if you want to know what we will be teaching in the future, follow us on Instagram.

In partnership with YES! Vancouver, we hosted a special #YESxYonce Event. The evening started with thirty minutes of networking for these business babes before we jumped into our class. Everyone was ready to sweat it out to their favourite #Beyonce songs and definitely brought the energy. RSVP 33 hosted this experience for YES! so all the money raised went directly to Dress for Success Vancouver, an organization empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs.
